“Is not this the fast I choose: to share your bread with the hungry?”
— Isaiah 58:7For years, H.O.P.E. has provided monthly food rations and clean drinking water to families trapped in modern-day slavery across Pakistan. As Christ commanded us to feed the hungry and give drink to the thirsty, we make sure these precious families have enough to eat and clean water to drink — while we work toward their freedom.
“As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to feed the hungry, care for the vulnerable, and share His love in practical ways. Through monthly food distributions, prayer, and ongoing support, we seek to be the hands and feet of Christ to families in need across Pakistan.”
Many families in Pakistan's brick kiln communities work long hours each day under difficult conditions and harsh weather. Despite their dedication and hard work, ongoing debt obligations, rising living costs, and limited resources often make it difficult to provide enough food and basic necessities for their families.
Families work tirelessly each day, yet many continue to face financial challenges that make it difficult to meet household needs and provide consistent meals for their loved ones.
Many children in kiln communities grow up with limited access to nutritious food and essential resources. Food assistance helps families provide better care and support for their children.
Many families carry long-standing debt obligations. When unexpected expenses arise, they often need to borrow more for food and daily necessities, creating additional financial pressure.
Despite the challenges they face, these families continue to work hard and care for one another. Through monthly food support, prayer, and encouragement, H.O.P.E. helps bring practical assistance and renewed hope.
This is what faithfulness looks like. Month after month, year after year, our team arrives — and every family on the list receives food.
Each ration package is designed to meet the nutritional needs of a family for one full month — staple grains, cooking essentials, and protein. Simple, sufficient, and given with dignity.
Each ration package is valued about $40 USD and includes essential food items, vegetables, and household necessities. Contents may vary slightly based on family size, seasonal availability, and local market conditions.
Our network of field pastors knows the communities we serve. Each month, they identify which families are most food-insecure — especially those with young children, pregnant mothers, or the elderly. The most vulnerable are always prioritised.
We purchase all food items locally in Pakistan — supporting local markets and ensuring freshness.
Ration packages are assembled and transported by our field team directly into the kiln communities. We go to them — families are not required to travel to us. This is especially important for families working under surveillance and restricted movement.
Every ration distribution is more than a food handout. Our pastors and field workers pray with each family, listen to their needs, and remind them they are seen and loved by God. The food is given — but so is hope.
At the brick kilns, families drink from dirty, contaminated ponds Hard facts: In Pakistan 22 million people doesn’t have access to clean water. 31% of schools don’t have clean water Every minute a newborn dies from an infection its cause by the lack of safe water.
H.O.P.E. installs fresh-water hand pumps right where these families live and work. With one pump, an entire community finally has clean, safe drinking water — close to home, every single day.
Clean hand pumps installed at the brick kilns, where families live and labor.
“Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.”
— John 4:14
Without a clean source nearby, families have no choice but to drink whatever water they can find.
One hand pump changes everything. Clean, safe water is suddenly available right where they live — for everyone, every day.
Unsafe drinking water is one of the leading causes of sickness among these families. Contaminated water carries disease that strikes the youngest and weakest first. Clean water is not a luxury — it is life, and it is one of the simplest, most powerful gifts we can give.
There is nothing like watching a child taste clean water for the very first time. These are real moments at the brick kilns — the laughter, the relief, the gift of life flowing freely. Tap any photo to view it.
We did not know how we would feed our children this week. Then the H.O.P.E. truck arrived with food and prayer. It was a reminder that God sees our needs and sends help through His people.
I am old, and there is no one to provide for me. When the team arrives each month with food and prays over me, I know that God has not forgotten me. This is the love of Christ, shown with hands and not only words.
Through our local pastors, we identify families facing hardship and bring practical help where it is needed most. Every food distribution is an opportunity not only to meet physical needs, but also to share the love and hope found in Jesus Christ.
